GZSZ episode 8524 from May 20, 2026 on TVGZSZ preview: Jo Gerner becomes the new main suspect
Michi told Jo about Toni!
There Tony (Olivia Marei) and Smithy (Timo Hastenpflug) can't really make any progress with their investigation, they jump straight away Michis (Lars Pape) Note on Gladly (Wolfgang Bahro). Jonas (Felix van Deventer) remembers seeing Jo in front of Zoe Lopez's (Lara Dandelion Seibert) house on the night of the murder and he also saw him taking off his gloves. For Michi that is proof enough, for Toni it is at least an indication. She summons Gerner to the presidium to interrogate him. The preview video reveals what he has to say about the allegations.
John becomes suspicious again
Laura (Chryssanthi Kavazi) has found out that Jessica (Nina Ensmann) is planning to propose to Philip (Jörn Schlönvoigt). Actually, no one is supposed to know about Jessy's plans, but it doesn't go quite as she imagined. Her fear that John (the chatterbox) might find out about this is so great that she makes Laura swear not to tell him anything. And she agrees. Little does he know that this secrecy will arouse renewed distrust in John (Felix von Jascheroff).
Does Nihat defend Gerner?
Nihat (Timur Ülker) learns that Gerner is the focus of Toni's investigation. By chance one evening he holds possible evidence of his guilt in his hands and is faced with the question of whether he should make it disappear. Nihat has to ask himself which side he wants to be on.
