Bad Orb – An unknown thief stole several hundred euros from the wallet of a senior citizen in Bad Orb. The crime occurred on Wednesday (May 13th) at around 12:30 p.m. on “Am Aubach” street. According to the police, a man around 50 years old approached the woman from Bad Orber on the sidewalk and asked her for help under the pretext of wanting to change money. While the elderly woman was looking for change in her wallet, the unknown person was already reaching towards the wallet.

The woman ultimately turned away the man, who, according to the police, was around 1.60 meters tall and was wearing a brown jacket and brown trousers. It was only a short time later that she noticed that several hundred euros were missing from her wallet.
The police assume it was a trick theft and are asking possible witnesses for information.
