Eichenzell – Running for a good cause – the Lions Club Fulda is inviting you to do so again this year with the Lions Charity Run on September 20, 2026 in the park at Schloss Fasanerie. The motto this year is “Moving – Inspiring – Effecting”.
Registration window for the Lions Run at Fasanerie Castle is open
Like last year, when 500 runners took partparticipants have the opportunity to choose between two routes: a five-kilometer route and a ten-kilometer route. Both lead through and around the park of Fasanerie Castle. Not only ambitious runners are welcome, but also walkers of all ages. All participants receive a sponsor shirt.
“We see the topic of exercise as a community issue,” explains André Eydt, future president of the Fulda Lions Club. “We want to bring people together and get them moving for a good cause.” The proceeds from the run benefit the Fuldaer Tafel and selected child and youth welfare projects.
500 starting places – register now
Like last year, there are around 500 starting places available for runners. Registrations are possible until August 7th lionslauf@web.de.
Dr. Markus Miller, museum director of the castle, supports the charity run: “Schloss Fasanerie sees itself as a place for cultural events of all kinds – sport and exercise are part of the culture,” he emphasizes. “This will be an event for the region.”
Around the run, visitors can expect a varied supporting program with musical accompaniment by Stefan Wagner & Friends as well as children's and family entertainment by Circus Ikarus. Your physical well-being is also taken care of on site.
