In its anniversary year, the Rhönklub Hünfeld is organizing a varied program for nature lovers, families and hiking enthusiasts. This will enter the second phase in May and June after the Albiez-Ruh reopens at the end of March.

Hünfeld – In its anniversary year, the Rhönklub Hünfeld is offering a varied program: Whether health-oriented exercise, exciting discovery tours or challenging hiking – there is something for every age and every fitness level.

The health hike kicks off on Wednesday, May 20th under the motto “Let's go – every step keeps you fit”. In addition to an easy hiking distance of two to three kilometers, the focus is on exercises along the way. Coordination, strength, endurance and relaxation are trained at selected places in nature. Meeting point is at 10 a.m. at the Unsben/Landerneauallee parking lot.

On Sunday, May 31st, there will be a family exploration tour along the Haune. Under the title “Animals in and around the water,” participants discover the region’s diverse fauna on a short hike. Fish, insects, birds and amphibians are the focus, as are larger animals, including storks, beavers and otters. Adrian Zentgraf and Karl Ufermann take the lead. It starts at 2 p.m. at Hünfeld train station, guests are welcome. Your own binoculars are recommended.

Also on the program on May 31st is the “Stölzinger Runde” – a moderately difficult hike through the impressive nature around the Alheimer. The premium hiking trail leads over 12.5 kilometers through idyllic landscapes and quiet forest paths. The highlight is the Alheimer Tower, which offers a spectacular view over the region. Meeting point is at 10 a.m. at the Unsben/Landerneauallee parking lot. The tour is led by Klaus and Wilma Malkmus.

Another highlight awaits hiking enthusiasts on Saturday, June 20th: the Rhönklub Hünfeld is organizing a trip to Bad Tabarz for the Thuringian Hiking Day. A bus is available for arrival and departure. Participants can choose from several guided tours on site – from the challenging summit and panoramic tour to shorter panoramic routes. Non-hikers can also enjoy the day in the health resort. The registration deadline is June 8th.

All events are open to guests. Further information about the offers and how to register is available at rhoenklub-huenfeld.de to find. (hi)
