An overtaking maneuver ended in a head-on collision. A motorcyclist was seriously injured and had to be flown to a clinic by helicopter.
Brachttal – A suspected unsuccessful overtaking maneuver led to a serious motorcycle accident on Sunday (May 10th) on state road 3314 between Spielberg and Wittgenborn. A 50-year-old biker was seriously injured and had to be flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter.
According to the police, a 69-year-old Toyota driver was traveling towards Wittgenborn when two motorcyclists aged 37 and 50 came towards him. In the area of a curve, the driver is said to have overtaken a cyclist in front. The oncoming 50-year-old motorcyclist was apparently unable to get out of the way in time – a collision occurred.
