After jumping out of the plane, two women collide in the air. Both are seriously injured, one of them is in danger of death, according to police. What happened?
A German and a Swiss woman crash during a wingsuit flight
Two women were seriously injured during a wingsuit jump in Austria. The Austrian police said they collided in the air and crashed in Hohenems in the state of Vorarlberg. One of them is therefore in mortal danger.
According to the information, the two women, a 32-year-old Swiss woman and a 48-year-old German woman, were traveling with 13 other skydivers. The 32-year-old is said to have collided with the 48-year-old while jumping in a right-hand bend, who was approaching from behind “at high speed”.

Wingsuit jumpers collide with high-voltage power lines
The 32-year-old lost consciousness in the collision. Since she could no longer open her parachute herself to land, the automatic parachute opening was triggered. While descending, she touched a high-voltage line and fell into the Old Rhine. Two swimmers brought the woman to shore, where she was handed over to emergency services. According to police, she sustained life-threatening injuries.
The 48-year-old briefly lost consciousness after the collisionthe police said. She was able to deploy her parachute herself, but was no longer able to land safely. She also hit a high-voltage line. The woman hit the ground from a height of around ten meters and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. According to the police, there was no danger to life.
