Open-air service in Fulda on Ascension Day
The celebration is carried out by the parishes of the Christ Church, the Kreuzkirche and the Versöhnungskirche-Matthäuskirche from the “Evangelical Together” cooperation area, as the Evangelical Kreuzkirche Fulda-Neuenberg reports. Johannes Trepte, Pastor Stefan Bürger and Pastor Tina Oehm-Ludwig organize the service together; Oehm-Ludwig takes over the sermon.
In terms of content, the focus is on the motto of the Hessentag ecumenical initiative “In the heart of one”. According to the organizers, Catholic Christians are also expressly welcome.
The Esprit music group provides musical accompaniment to the service. At the same time, a separate children's service is offered for children between the ages of three and twelve. Afterwards, the Brillenzell sports club traditionally invites you to grilled food, Flurgönder as well as coffee and cake on the sports field.
As usual, Pastor Stefan Bürger encourages everyone to go on a family-friendly bike ride to the venue – except when it rains. It starts at 10:00 a.m. at the Kreuzkirche in Haderwaldstrasse 89, and another meeting point is at 10:15 a.m. at the Fulda recycling center.
