His character dies a serial death at AWZ Deep bow and feelings on the last day of filming! So Silvan-Pierre Leirich says goodbye
from Nina Erdmann
“Thank you for your loyalty!”
Dying the serial death and leaving AWZ after almost 20 years is a drastic experience for Silvan-Pierre Leirich. But the fact that Richard ended his life himself, with his great love Simone in his arms, was a particularly big challenge for the actor. He shared his feelings and thoughts with us and in our interview addressed his fans again with a big thank you, as can be seen in the video.
Until death do them part at AWZ
He holds his Simone in his arms and tells her “I love you” one last time before Richard Steinkamp presses a button and lets the drug flow into his body that ultimately takes his life. The fact that Richard married his Simone before his self-imposed death shows how great and deep their love was, says Pierre-Silvan Leirich: “I would do it that way too,” says the actor about his EEZ farewell. “If I love someone deeply, I will go with the woman to the end.”

For Silvan-Pierre the topic is “contemporary”!
Can you, like Richard, decide about your own death? Is that ethical and fair to those left behind? This is how Silvan-Pierre Leirich describes the complex thoughts he has had about the current social discussion. But it was “timely” to dedicate himself to such a topic in “Everything that counts”, even if it was difficult for him to play. “That’s why I can understand why Richard is being met with such an end.”

Silvan-Pierre bows to the AWZ crew
Silvan-Pierre Leirich emphasizes again how important the support of his team was at this moment. “There are always some dramatic scenes where you like to show off a bit by making a little joke to the side and putting them in a better mood with a little joke, but that was hardly possible here.” And then the moment came when Silvan-Pierre Leirich was “finished” on the set. He bows deeply to all crew members present, he hugs many of them long and tightly, because for everyone a phase of life ends here. But his special thanks go to the spectators and fans. The many positive comments meant a lot to him. “I would like to thank you very much for your loyalty and for finding me well.”

A farewell that hurts – but UFA producer Guido Reinhard looks forward to the upcoming 20th anniversary of the series in September with confidence: “'Everything that counts' will use this special anniversary to set the course for a strong future after the content revisions of the past few years. The next generation of Steinkamps and Reichenbachs is already in the starting blocks.”
