Freiensteinau – A school bus and a car collided in Freiensteinau. According to police, the accident occurred on Thursday around 3:45 p.m. on Steinauer Strasse.

Accordingly, a 75-year-old wanted to turn right from the street “Im Mühlfeld” into Steinauer Straße in her Mercedes when she collided with the bus that was heading towards Holzmühl. According to police, the cause of the collision is still unclear.
The 48-year-old bus driver was slightly injured and taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. According to the officials, the nine passengers on the bus – mostly children – were uninjured and were picked up from the scene of the accident in a replacement bus. According to initial police estimates, the damage caused is in the low to mid five-figure range.
A public bus was also recently involved in an accident on the A7 in Kirchheim. Two people were slightly injured and property damage amounted to around 150,000 euros.
