April initially believes there is a misunderstanding. She suspects it's a cyst, but she sees something completely different on the screen. Four little heartbeats. Four babies. “I was so shocked that I could hardly speak,” says April.

Quadruplets make April Fields an XXL mom
She and her husband Shawnpail Fields already had three small children. Daughters Wynter and Evangeline and son Koda were five, four and two years old at the time. But suddenly it was clear: the family with five members should become a family with nine.
However, a quadruplet pregnancy is considered a high-risk pregnancy. Specialists even talk to April and Shawnpail about the possibility of reducing the number of babies to increase the others' chances of survival.
