Vanessa is shocked that her father wants to seek euthanasia. In her distress, she calls her sister Jenny. She tells her that it is still far too early to make this decision; he can live on if he gets a new heart. She asks Jenny to come to Essen immediately so that together they can convince Richard to fight. Vanessa seeks further help from Richard's doctor Imani – she should also talk to him again. But then she is horrified to learn that her efforts may come too late. Her father is already on his way to an assisted suicide in Switzerland…
