Dylan Carter dies in horror accident at 24

He inspired millions – now he's dead.
With his voice he even moved the coaches to tears. Now the music world is mourning Dylan Carter. The former “The Voice” contestant died in a car accident at the age of just 24.

The tragic crash occurred on Saturday evening (April 25) in South Carolina. As the US media TMZ reports, Dylan was driving a Tesla on US Route 21 around 11 p.m. when he suddenly lost control. The car veers off the road, crashes into a post and a fence and overturns.

The young singer sits alone in the car. Rescue workers take him to the hospital, but there he succumbs to his serious injuries.

The authorities speak of an accidental death. According to the medical examiner, Dylan died of massive blunt force trauma. He was wearing a seatbelt, but the injuries are still too serious.

Many fans immediately remember his big moment on TV. In 2023, Dylan will take the stage on “The Voice USA” and sing Whitney Houston’s “I Look to You.” A goosebumps appearance – all four coaches turn around. At that time he chose country star Reba McEntire as his mentor. His performance is more than just a song. Dylan dedicates it to his mother, who had recently died. A moment that gets under your skin.

Reba McEntire also spoke out after the tragedy and said goodbye to him publicly. For many fans it is clear: this talent was taken away far too early.

Dylan Carter is from St. George, South Carolina. He discovered his love for music as a child – and pursued his dream all the way to the big stage. Now all that remains is the memory of a voice that fell silent far too soon.
