Actress gives insight into her emotional world“Among Us” comeback? No thanks! Petra Blossey wasn't thinking about her return at the time
“No, I’m not coming back.”
That's exactly what Petra Blossey thought when she quit “Unter Uns” in 2019. After 25 years in the role of Irene Weigel, it was clear to her that it was now over. But right now she couldn't be happier about her comeback, as she makes clear in the video above!
Petra Blossey initially ruled out her “Unter uns” comeback
With her serial deaths Irene's story actually seemed to be over. And Petra Blossey herself consciously wanted to distance herself after her departure. A return? It wasn't an issue for her at the time: “I thought: No, now I'll have a really big break.” And that's exactly how it happened. Her decision was initially all the clearer: “No, I won’t be coming back.”

Only over the years did this idea slowly change. The categorical no turned into a cautious rethinking, as she explains in the backstage interview: “Oh, why not? I would come back for just one small, short thing.”

“Among Us” is “quite addictive”

Petra Blossey is still very moved: “They greeted me as if I had never been away”

But her comeback is not “small” and “short”. It's a real “Among Us” sensation! The actress also notices this in the feedback from fans: “How many are looking forward to Irene coming back. Of course I was very happy about that too. And I would like to thank you for such a welcome.”
Incidentally, Petra Blossey's “Among Us” feeling from before caught up with her again in no time. “I notice that it's becoming quite addictive again,” was her conclusion after just three weeks of filming. “I feel like I’m back in it now, I never left.”
