Lauterbach – A 35-year-old motorcyclist from Florstadt had a fatal accident on the L3305 between Breungeshain and Ilbeshausen on Easter Monday. According to the police, the man was driving his Ducati alone on the route from the direction of Breungeshain when he lost control of his machine in a left-hand bend at around 2.30 p.m. and crashed into the guardrails to the right.

In the accident he sustained such serious injuries that an emergency doctor who was called could no longer help; the 35-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
The Giessen public prosecutor commissioned an expert to reconstruct the course of the accident. Officials estimate the material damage caused at around 10,000 euros. In addition to two patrols from the Lauterbach police, a rescue helicopter from Gießen, an emergency medical vehicle from Ilbeshausen, an ambulance and a vehicle from the Schotten fire department were in action.
