Why isn't there a live show today? That's why there is no live dancing on Good Friday

No live show on Good Friday!
Glitter, glamor and spectacular dances: Fridays are “Let’s Dance” time! From 8:15 p.m., celebrities and professionals will take us into a magical world full of unforgettable performances until the end of May and there is no exception. Unless it's Good Friday – the studio stays empty. But why is there never any live dancing on this day of all days? We know the simple answer!

So why do we never see a live show from on Good Friday? “Let's Dance” (stream here on RTL+)? Because Good Friday is considered a so-called silent holiday – and that means that there is a general ban on dancing in Germany. This is interpreted differently in each federal state, but dance schools, clubs and bars usually remain closed on Good Friday. After all, Good Friday is considered the day on which Jesus Christ died on the cross in the Christian religion.
