“Oliver, we miss you”.
In August 2022, Oliver Heise flew to the Canary Islands to do what he loved most: travel. Shortly after his arrival, all his social media accounts remained silent. Now his family announces on Instagram: Oliver will never come home again.
The family can now say goodbye to Oliver
“It is with a heavy heart that we received the news that Oliver has unfortunately left us,” wrote his brother Lukas on Instagram on Good Friday (April 3) on behalf of the family. Almost four years have passed since his last sign of life, a message to a friend on August 4, 2022. He had arrived in Gran Canaria the day before and posted on social media. According to police findings, he continued on to Tenerife by ferry. The last photo came from the Lomo Pelado Nature Reserve. After that, contact broke off. As is now clear: forever.
