The adventure golf course at Acis in Schlüchtern is celebrating its reopening. The Spak family put a lot of effort into ensuring a fresh shine.
Schlüchtern – The adventure golf course at Acis in Schlüchtern was opened ten years ago. At that time, it was launched jointly by the Hubert and Spak families, who own the area. Today, April 4th, the adventure golf course will be reopened under the leadership of the Spak family.
In the past few months, with the support of friends, the Spak family has worked hard to get the facility back in shape. Niklas Spak, who acts as the contact person for the system, was enthusiastic about the support in an interview with the Fuldaer Zeitung.

“I'm really pleased that many friends and acquaintances pitched in, like the Kempel, Helfrich and Keidel families. Without them, the repair of the railways in such a short time would not have been possible,” said the 38-year-old. When the facility was built ten years ago, the Spak and Hubert families as well as ex-Acis operator Ralf Hoffmann still owned the Acis area and restaurant.
The restaurant has now become the property of the new operatorbut the area of the adventure golf course still belongs to the Spak and Hubert families. And since co-owner Edwin Hubert has given his okay, the Spak family can now get started as the new, old operator of the 14-hole facility, including the billiards-soccer field.

The adventure golf course at Acis will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. when it reopens on April 4th. Opening hours: Fridays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Further opening times and reservations for groups on request. In contrast to normal mini golf courses, the courses of the adventure golf course are larger and can also be accessed by players. Regarding the nickname “Adventure” (English for “adventure”), the 38-year-old says: “The fact that they are embedded here in the forest creates an adventure. The tracks have a real character.”
Contact Niklas Spak explains why the Spak family has put a lot of effort into maintaining the facility as follows: “We built the facility ten years ago and it is simply a beautiful place to stay and have fun. It should be preserved for everyone in the region.”
And when the trains stop at the Schlüchtern train station again after the Easter holidays, it will also be for people outside the region who want to enjoy nature and everything that surrounds it on the “Platte”, as the people of Schlüchtern have always called the Acis area. “It’s barely more than a five-minute walk from the train station and you’re here,” says Spak. There are also numerous parking spaces available on site.
As a Schlüchterner, the Acis is particularly important to him: “I appreciate the area with its animal enclosure, spring, beautiful playground and Kneipp facility as well as the large meadow for leisure and relaxation. It is an important contact point for all generations. We will do our part in this. I am happy that it is finally starting!”
The new miniature golf course in Fulda is now almost finished. It is scheduled to open before Hessentag, which starts in June 2026. The barrier-free mini golf course offers 18 tournament-ready holes and is located in the immediate vicinity of the environmental center, the water treading pool and the parking lot there.
