
New presiding judge at the Fulda Regional Court: Sebastian Leitschuh will take over the chairmanship of three chambers from April – criminal, civil and enforcement matters.
Fulda – The Fulda Regional Court gets a new presiding judge: Sebastian Leitschuh received his certificate of appointment from Dr. Patrick Liesching, President of the Fulda Regional Court, accepted. With effect from April 1, 2026, he will take over the chairmanship of the 3rd Criminal, 5th Civil and Penal Enforcement Chambers.
“I am very pleased to be able to congratulate Mr. Leitschuh, a highly qualified, very committed and experienced judge and highly valued colleague, on his promotion,” said Dr. Liesching handing over the certificate from the Hessian Ministry of Justice.
New presiding judge at the Fulda Regional Court appointed
Leitschuh is married, has three children and grew up in the Fulda region. He graduated from the Winfriedschule in 2000. This was followed by studying law at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg with the first state examination in 2007, as well as an accompanying course of study in European law. He completed his legal clerkship at the Fulda Regional Court and completed the second state law examination in January 2009.
Leitschuh initially worked as a lawyer. After working in a law firm, he worked as an in-house lawyer in the area of banking and capital markets law for two savings banks from April 2011 to December 2014. In 2012 he acquired the title of specialist lawyer in this area of law.
Leitschuh finally moved to the Hessian judicial service in January 2015. After positions at the Fulda Regional Court, the Hünfeld District Court and the Fulda Public Prosecutor's Office, he returned to judicial service at the Fulda Regional Court in January 2017. In April 2018 he was appointed judge for life. He was seconded to the Frankfurt am Main Higher Regional Court from January to October 2024. Since then he has been employed in various civil and criminal chambers of the Fulda Regional Court.
