The woodwind instrument master, musician and Fulda entrepreneur of Conrad Mollenhauer GmbH, Bernhard Mollenhauer, died on March 21st at the age of 82. He shaped the development of the company for many decades.
Fulda – Die Instrument workshop was founded in 1822 by Johann Andreas Mollenhauer. Today the company is in its sixth generation building woodwind instruments. A lot has happened since the beginning: two world wars had to be survived and industrial work techniques had to be integrated. The recorder enjoyed great popularity, especially in the young Federal Republic. For this reason, Thomas and Rosel Mollenhauer converted the company to mass production of school models.
