A Bundeswehr unit is carrying out a major maneuver in Vogelsberg this week. Several cities and communities are affected.
Vogelsbergkreis – A Bundeswehr unit from Hammelburg is conducting a military exercise with night marches in the Vogelsbergkreis. According to a statement from the district, 50 soldiers and 6 wheeled vehicles are taking part in the maneuver.

The exercise will take place from Tuesday, March 24th to Thursday, March 26th, in the area of the towns and communities Freiensteinau, Grebenhain, Herbstein, Lauterbach, Lautertal, Schotten and Wartenberg.
Just recently have Fire brigade leaders from Vogelsberg practiced emergency situations with the Bundeswehr – a crashed attack helicopter formed the scenario.
