For the second time, the city of Steinau is looking for a fairytale queen. The term of office of the first Queen Laura I will end in a few months.
Steinau an der Straße – The fact that the Steinau fairytale queen now belongs to the circle of Hessian royalty such as wine or beer queens is based on an idea the 50th anniversary of the German Fairy Tale Route, which was celebrated last year and which begins in Steinau.
The city of Steinau is looking for a new fairytale queen – applications are possible
Since then, Laura I. has represented her hometown at, among other things, Fairy Tale Sunday, at the Reichelsheim Fairy Tale Days and at the reception by the Hessian Prime Minister Boris Rhein. The 22-year-old administrative assistant has been in office since June 22nd. Her family has lived in Steinau for seven generations and so the city and region are in her blood. Being the first official of a new tradition is a very special adventure.
Laura Fuchs’ term of office – her real name – is now coming to an end and the city of Steinau is looking for a successor. We are looking for Steinauer women from all parts of the city between the ages of 20 and 34 who live in the Brothers Grimm city and feel connected to the city and the region. The city announced this in a press release.
The future fairytale queen should enjoy interacting with people, be interested in the historical legacy of the Brothers Grimm and represent her hometown with joy. The aim is to represent the city on several dates throughout the year, for example at Fairy Tale Sunday, the St. Catherine's Market or the New Year's Reception. Some national events are also on the program. The city says there are no costs incurred by the office.
The ceremonial enthronement of the new fairytale queen will take place on June 21st on the occasion of the Fairytale Fountain Festival. Applications with a CV, a short introduction and a photo can be submitted to the city of Steinau by April 12th.
