
Spring is at its best. On Wednesday and Thursday, Hesse will be spoiled by sun and mild temperatures. The situation is similar in large parts of Germany. But it remains frosty at night.
Fulda – “Wednesday could almost be described as a prime example of a beautiful, sunny and mild spring day,” says Fabian Chow, meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach, with a view to this Weather of the coming days. In Hesse, a temperature increase to 14 to 16 degrees is forecast for March 18th.
Weather outlook: Sun and mild air expected in Hesse
After Recently, squalls and even snow clouds passed over Hesse again the region around Fulda was cloudy to overcast on Tuesday (March 17th) and only partly sunny. With temperatures around 10 degrees, there was occasional light rain or drizzle.
On Wednesday, the experts expect predominantly sunny and warm weather again – a perfect spring day. After local fog fields dissipate, it is expected to become sunny and dry during the day in large parts of Germany. Temperatures are expected to rise towards 20 degrees again in some places.
On Thursday night the temperatures will drop again to 4 to 0 degrees, and in the valleys and hollows of the Hessian mountains even to -3 degrees. Widespread ground frost is expected. On Thursday (March 19th) a cold front is expected in northern Germany, bringing dense clouds and rain.
“There is no sign of this in the south and a bright blue sky with mild to very mild temperatures can be expected,” says the DWD expert. Sunny, dry weather is also expected in Hesse on Thursday with maximum temperatures between 15 and 17 degrees.
Rainier weather again on Friday
On Friday night the temperatures in Hesse fell slightly below freezing again. And on Friday, heavy clouds are expected from the north during the day. In the afternoon there may be isolated light rain or drizzle in Hesse and large parts of Germany, while it will remain very mild and sunny in the southwest.
