Results of the local elections in the Main-Kinzig district

The citizens in the Main-Kinzig district have voted. The counting of votes is underway. You can find initial results and developments in the live ticker in this article.

+++ 21.26: Now all 14 trend results for the city council election are there in Bad Soden-Salmünster. Accordingly, the Bad Soden-Salmünster Joint Voters List (GWL) received 40.67 percent. The second strongest force is the CDU with 36.89 percent of the vote. The SPD comes to 22.44 percent.

And the trend results from all 20 electoral districts have also arrived in Schlüchtern. According to the counting of the ballot papers with list crosses, the strongest force in the city council election is the CDU with 29.12 percent. The SPD achieved 21.53 percent. The AfD is close behind with 19.86 percent. The Greens come to 12.51 percent. The Bergwinkel Citizens' Movement at 9.35 percent. The FDP and Die Linke are at 4.04 and 3.55 percent.

According to the trend result, Wir Für Steinau was able to achieve the most votes in Steinau an der Straße with 33.40. The SPD is behind with 28.34 percent. Followed by the Independent Citizens List, which comes to 19.98 percent, and CITIZENS SHAPE WITH (19.36 percent).

+++ 8.35 p.m.: In Schlüchtern, 15 of 20 trend results for the city council election are available. With 28.92 percent, the CDU is ahead of the AfD, which currently has 22.49 percent. The SPD comes to 20.59 percent. In Bad Soden-Salmünster, the GWL is the strongest force according to 12 of 14 trend results. This is closely followed by the CDU, which has 36.78 percent. The SPD is at 22.80 percent.

According to the current status (12 out of 15 trend results), we For Steinau got the most votes in the Grimmstadt with 35.25 percent. The SPD is in second place with 28.34 percent. In Steinau an der Straße, the Independent Citizens List (18.39 percent) and CITIZENS SHAPE WITH (18.02 percent) are almost on par.

+++20.11: Meanwhile, another look at the development of the count in the district council: According to 130 of 366 trend results, the CDU is currently in the lead with 27.00 percent. Followed by the AfD with 24.89 percent and the SPD with 22.82 percent.

+++ 20.08: The first trend result for a municipality has been determined in Bergwinkel: In Sinntal, the Citizens' Voting Association received 49.47 percent of the votes and is therefore clearly in the lead. The SPD comes to 26.84 percent. The CDU achieved 23.68 percent.

+++ 19.52: The runoff election is also going on in Langenselbold. The SPD candidate Wolfgang Rittershauß is ahead with 45.75 percent of the votes and has to compete in the runoff against Florian Gibbe, who received 38.49 percent of the votes. Axel Häsler (Free Voters Langenselbold) got 15.76 percent. The voter turnout was 59.52 percent.

+++ 19.38: Runoff election in Linsengericht: Markus Betz (CDU) and Astrid Rost (SPD) are the candidates who received the most votes in the mayoral election with 36.71 and 33.32 percent. A runoff election will take place between the two. The other votes are distributed as follows: Nicole Dein (Citizens' List/FWG Linsengericht) with 17.70 percent, Claus Naujoks with 5.13 percent, Maximilian Pfannkuch (FDP) with 3.77 percent and Ralf Skrzipietz (Die Linke) with 3.37 percent. The voter turnout was 65.5 percent.

Mayoral election in the MKK: runoff elections in Langenselbold and Lensengericht

+++ 19.22: With a view to the municipalities of Langenselbold and Linsengericht, in each of which a new mayor is being elected, the following picture is currently emerging: While after 15 of 17 electoral districts, the SPD candidate Wolfgang Rittershauß, with 46.17 percent of the votes, is almost 10 percent ahead of the CDU candidate Florian Gibbe, who has 37.67 percent of the votes. The CDU candidate Marcus Betz (36.47 percent) is currently ahead of Astrid Rost from the SPD (34 percent). The votes from three districts are still missing.

+++ 19.12: An initial trend is emerging in the city council election in Bad Soden-Salmünster. After counting 6 of a total of 14 electoral districts, the CDU with 37.96 percent and the GWL with 37.59 percent are currently almost on par. Followed by the SPD with 24.45 votes.

Since counting the huge ballot papers in Hesse is complex, at the end of the election evening there will only be the so-called trend results. So initially only the ballot papers on which only a list cross was made are counted.

The individual votes (i.e. the votes that were awarded through cumulation and variegation) will be counted from Monday. This means: The results will only be known in detail tomorrow or the day after. The trend is usually sufficient for the first analysis this evening.

Update from 6:35 p.m.: The polling stations are closed. The citizens in the Main-Kinzig district have voted. On election evening, the Main-Kinzig Forum in Gelnhausen, Barbarossastraße 24, opens to interested citizens from 6 p.m. In the Barbarossa Hall, the current results from the 28 cities and communities in the district are presented on a large screen and several screens. Visitors can follow the counting directly.

According to the announcement, a long election night is to be expected. A final trend result for the district council election – i.e. the evaluation of the ballot papers on which only a list cross was placed – will probably not be available until after midnight. Beforehand, the results of the mayoral elections in Langenselbold and Linsengericht as well as the numbers for the future municipal councils and city parliaments are counted, here too initially the ballot papers with only one list cross.

Following the counting of the district elections, the counting of the local council and foreign council elections follows. In the following days, the municipal administrations will evaluate the remaining ballot papers. According to the district, the official final result of the district election will be known after the last meeting of the district election committee on Friday, March 27th.
