Nüsttal – The artificial turf pitch in Nüsttal-Hofaschenbach is being renewed. The district Fulda According to its own information, it is supporting this modernization with around 100,000 euros. Sports and the school would benefit equally from the renovation, according to a press release from the district.
The intensive use over the past 20 years by the DJK 1. FC Nüsttal sports club and the students of the Nüsttal primary school – in sports lessons and as part of afternoon care – has naturally left its mark on the pitch.

According to the district, the total costs for the project amount to around 230,000 euros. The district of Fulda will contribute 100,000 euros to the financing. District Administrator Bernd Woide (CDU) has now handed over a declaration of intent to Mayor Marion Frohnapfel (CDU).
“I think it is exemplary when public areas are used jointly by sports and schools – like this sports field,” said the district administrator. “We conserve resources, promote synergies and create a sense of community: children, young people, adults, athletes, parents and the public,” added the mayor.
And added: “This place belongs to everyone and is there for everyone. This is the best prerequisite for ensuring that it is handled with care.” Marion Frohnapfel thanked the district for its support. Meanwhile, VfL Lauterbach in the Vogelsberg district is currently hoping for an artificial turf pitch.
