
A serious accident occurred near Willingshain in East Hesse. A pedestrian died and the cyclist was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
Willingshain – On Saturday evening (March 7th) a serious traffic accident occurred around 8:50 p.m. on a connecting route between the L3157 and the K34 below the Eisenberg near Willingshain in East Hesse. A 24-year-old cyclist and a 30-year-old pedestrian, both from Oberaula, were involved.

The East Hesse police headquarters in Fulda reported that the pedestrian was so seriously injured that he died shortly afterwards despite resuscitation measures being initiated. The cyclist also suffered injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The exact circumstances of the accident near Willingshain in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district are currently the subject of police investigations. On the orders of the Fulda public prosecutor's office, an expert was called in to clarify the cause of the accident, the officials concluded.
