
A 15-year-old Simson driver was injured in an accident in Neuhof. A BMW and a moped collided at an intersection.
Neuhof – On Friday evening (March 6th), a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Frankfurter Straße and Zollweg in Neuhof at around 8:30 p.m., as the East Hesse police headquarters in Fulda announced. A car and a moped were involved in the accident, the latter being driven by a 15-year-old teenager.
15-year-old Simson driver injured in accident
A 19-year-old driver from Flieden drove his BMW on Frankfurter Straße in the direction of Zollweg. At the same time, the 15-year-old from Neuhof was moving from Zollweg towards the center of town on a Simson moped. Both drivers intended to cross the intersection straight ahead.
The two vehicles collided at the intersection. Both drivers, the car driver and the moped driver, wanted to go straight through the intersection. The teenager suffered minor injuries. He was taken to hospital for further medical treatment.
There was material damage to both vehicles. The police estimate this at 4,000 euros. The investigation into the exact course of the accident has not yet been completed. Two days earlier, a seven-year-old child was hit by a car in Kalbach and injured. The accident occurred next to a school bus.
