He sat!
Vanessa “Nessi” Borck received bad criticism from “Let's Dance” juror Joachim Llambi at the introductory show. After that, her self-esteem was briefly at rock bottom. But her dance partner Victoria “Vika” Sauerwald has rebuilt her protégé!
At the start of the 19th “Let’s Dance” season Betty Taube, Nadia Benaissa and Vanessa Borck a cha-cha-cha on the floor. While Jorge Gonzalez and Motsi Mabuse still let mercy prevail Joachim Llambi not behind the hill with his feedback. “That was a bit of a stork in the salad,” explains the juror after the performance. Llambi initially praises Nessi's long legs, but then: “When you walk and then lift them off the ground, it looks like we're at the grape harvest. But that's not until September.”
Nessi had tears flowing afterwards! These have now dried again – thanks to her dance partner Victoria “Vika” Sauerwald! “Vika gave me courage again because I no longer had courage after last week. And she simply gave me joy again. And motivation,” the former “Princess Charming” reveals to us.
She further reveals: “She gave me courage and she also showed me what I’m made of and that I can do more than I might think.” Despite Llambi's criticism, Vika is proud of her protégé! She tells us: “Nessi is actually super self-confident and in dance it suddenly goes away a bit.”
So the courage is back – now it could only be because of her nerves! “That racing heart before… I'm on stage and I just feel like I've forgotten everything again. And that's that nervousness. That's so bad. Yes, I underestimated that,” Nessi openly admits. We're excited to see if she has the steps for the Viennese waltz to Dove Cameron's “Boyfriend” tonight!
