Sexual assaults are said to have occurred again and again on a dirt road in Nürtingen. The police are looking for the suspect with a special unit and a helicopter and are finally able to catch him on Friday. Now the first details are becoming known.
Suspect arrested in Nürtingen
A man repeatedly harasses women and girls on a dirt road in Nürtingen (Baden-Württemberg), touches them inappropriately or asks them to perform sexual acts. According to the police, it is an 18-year-old Bulgarian citizen who “according to current knowledge does not have a permanent residence in Germany.” On Saturday, a judge issued the arrest warrant requested by the Stuttgart public prosecutor's office. “The accused was then taken to a correctional facility.”
An 18-year-old who was arrested with the young man has now been released. According to the police, there is no evidence of his involvement in the crime.

Other women experienced harassment on dirt roads
The large-scale manhunt was triggered by two particularly serious cases: On Wednesday, a 13-year-old was attacked on the dirt road, and then on Thursday, a 57-year-old cyclist – according to the police, both acts were clearly sexually motivated. Despite a search by helicopter, the perpetrator managed to escape each time.

During the course of the investigation, two more women came forward: A 47-year-old stated that shortly before the attack on the 13-year-old girl at the same location, she had been verbally harassed by a man and asked to perform sexual acts. In addition, a 35-year-old pedestrian filed a report online: an unknown cyclist is said to have touched her inappropriately as he drove past on Eichenweg.
The police also attributed these incidents to the same perpetrator – who is now behind bars.
