There is a new non-profit organization in the Bergwinkel town: the “Kloburschen Schlüchtern 1989”. It was founded by 32 members in the “Zum Lasch” club restaurant.
Schlüchtern – The lively group of “Kloburschen” has been around as a loose group since 1989. In these 37 years, the men's group has already distinguished itself through various activities. She has been involved with one for 29 years own car in carnival parades in the region. A firm tradition is also to celebrate “Christmas Eve” of the cold market, the Thursday before the local festival, together in “Lasch”.
“Kloburschen” in Schlüchtern become a club after 37 years
So now the official founding of the club. The association's purpose was set out in its statutes as “the promotion of traditional customs, including carnival, carnival and carnival.” The purpose of the statutes is realized through the design of a club car and participation in carnival parades, the maintenance and promotion of carnival dances, music and prepared speeches as well as the organization of cultural events to preserve regional traditions.
Not only the statutes were passed unanimously. The assembly just as unanimously elected the first six-member board. The chairman is Fabian Orth, already elected this year's Kalte Markt President. Andreas Mock acts as his deputy, Constantin Lotz as treasurer and Lukas Adametz as secretary.
The first assessor is Florian Jost, the second assessor is Rainer Hanncke. There was a surprise when the club was founded. “Lasch” landlady Gisela Gärtner gave the happy group a cake with a large picture of the members on the front.
The name of the men's group is an allusion to “bloo boys”
The name “Kloburschen” is an ironic allusion to the “Blooburschen” who are omnipresent in the region’s villages during church festivals. Since there is no fair in Schlüchtern, but rather the cold market, the name “Kloburschen” came about. At the start of the Cold Market 37 years ago, the lively group – eight in number – formed in the “Zum Lasch” restaurant out of a beer mood as a not entirely serious response to the traditions of the Bloo boys.
In the future, as in previous years, a “top loo” will be chosen from within the club’s own ranks on Cold Market Thursday, outside of the registered club. As an insignia of his position – similar to how the Kalte Markt president wears the city key – he wears the chain and porcelain handle of a toilet cistern around his neck. This round at the Kalten Markt remains firmly in the hands of men – with the exception of landlady Gisela.
According to Orth, the toilet boys want to activate club life in Schlüchtern. For example, a cider festival is planned for June 2027. By the way, the tax office has already recognized the association's non-profit status.
