Verena Hubertz became a mother for the first time in January. She has now married in a civil ceremony – and is already planning the next step.

Construction Minister Verena Hubertz (SPD) got married. The ministry confirmed a corresponding report from the Bild newspaper at the request of the German Press Agency. The 38-year-old married her partner and father of her child at a winery in Kanzem near Trier in mid-May.
“After the birth of our child, that was the next big private moment this year: the path to life together,” Hubertz told Bild. “We had a wonderful day with our closest family, with the baby and groomsmen, with the best weather and great wine.”
