
A dispute in an accommodation in Niederaula ended fatally. A 32-year-old was killed and two suspects were arrested.
Niederaula – After an argument in an accommodation in Niederaula, a 32-year-old resident died on Friday night.
According to a joint statement from the Fulda public prosecutor's office and the East Hesse police headquarters, the incident occurred on the night of Friday, May 29th. At around 3:45 a.m. the police were informed of the matter by the Hersfeld-Rotenburg rescue control center.
Dispute resulting in death: Two men arrested in Niederaula
According to investigators' current findings, the 32-year-old resident initially got into a verbal argument with two other residents aged 27 and 33 in the accommodation on Hattenbacher Strasse. As the argument continued, the argument escalated and became physical.
The 32-year-old was injured and subsequently died. According to the authorities, alerted rescue workers were only able to determine that the man was dead.
Officers from the Bad Hersfeld police station arrested the two suspected residents, aged 27 and 33, at the crime scene without resistance. According to the public prosecutor's office and the criminal police, the background to the crime and the question of the extent to which the injuries sustained are directly related to the man's death are still unclear. The Fulda public prosecutor's office and the Bad Hersfeld criminal police are investigating suspected homicide.
The Fulda public prosecutor's office is currently examining the application for an arrest warrant and the presentation of those arrested before the responsible judge at the Bad Hersfeld district court. The results will be reported on at a later date.
The public prosecutor's office and police in East Hesse are currently investigating five people who are suspected of illegal residence and forgery of documents. They were arrested during searches in Neuhof and Flieden on Thursday.
