John Bachmann is one of the most famous characters on GZSZ and has been played by Felix von Jascheroff since 2001. He is the half-brother of Emily and Philip Höfer and developed from a rebellious youth into a responsible businessman. He is particularly well known as the operator of the trendy bar Mauerwerk, a central meeting point in the series.
