Bitter pain of separation“I hated!” Michelle unpacks after love affair with Eric Philippi
After the surprising separation from Eric Philippi, Michelle is now speaking bluntly about her emotional state of emergency.
“I felt like I went through all sorts of hell,” the singer admits, looking back on the difficult time after the end of love.
“I felt like I went through all hells”
“I felt like I went through all hells”: Pop singer Michelle (54) spoke for the first time about how difficult the separation from Eric Philippi (29) was for her and what the healing process she is currently in looks like. In an Instagram live stream, she explained that she had learned to “always somehow see the good” in everything bad.

Nevertheless, the separation was “extremely difficult” at the beginning. The situation showed her how vulnerable she was and how much she still had to work on many things. It's been a very hard process in the last few weeks, said the 54-year-old: “I felt like I went through all the hells you can have, I hated, I was angry, I chased him to hell, I mourned, I cried so much.” At first she didn't understand that it was only a part of her that was hurt: “That's a realization that was very important.”

Michelle despairs: “Why does this actually hurt me so much?”
She then went into healing and tried to see the pain of separation from a different perspective: “Why does it actually hurt me so much?” Michelle also explained that she hasn't gotten over the breakup yet, that she's “still processing it, but I've learned that everything that happens in life, even if you don't understand it at the moment, is meant to be.” She understood that she still had a lot of self-healing to do and that she had to work through a lot so that she would no longer end up in a situation “where it could hurt so damn much,” she added.
After the breakup, which she also said was “very unexpected” for her, she was unable to work on herself. “To do this, you first have to go through this pain and the mourning phase in order to get back to yourself: that took a hell of a long time for me.” She is now doing better, she revealed. Also because she apparently came to the realization that beliefs, some of which were anchored in her, made her feel so bad. Exchanging these negative beliefs is now the healing process.
Eric Philippi and Michelle's separation became known at the beginning of May. Shortly before, he had gotten on his knees at their farewell concert in Berlin. They had been dating since 2022 and made the relationship public a year later. Philippi asked for Michelle's hand in marriage as early as 2024.
