For many teenagers in the 90s, the youth magazine BRAVO was an absolute must-have – this also applies to some celebrities. From Jeanette Biedermann to Enie van de Meiklokjes to Oli P.: They all held BRAVO in their hands in their youth. Whether it's star news, trends, love stories or relationship tips: you can always rely on BRAVO! The magazine – more precisely Dr. Sommer – the first point of contact for many young people, including Jeanette Biedermann. “Hormones awaken and then you have to deal with it if you can't talk about this topic or ask questions at home. BRAVO was there“, explains the German pop singer and actress.

However, the open approach to sexuality and nudity was not met with universal approval. The BRAVO was not sold in East Germany during the GDR era. For Enie van de Meiklokjes and her friend there was only one way to get BRAVO: “It was smuggled from her mother because she was allowed to go to the West, and I was able to look at it at her home“, admits the moderator.

Oli P., on the other hand, had completely different problems with BRAVO – namely a completely hysterical girlfriend who found out from the magazine that Robbie Williams had left his band “Take That”. “She was really at the end,” reveals the German singer, illustrating the enormous influence that the magazine had at the time.
