Birstein – The truck driver lost control of his vehicle in Birstein on Thursday morning (May 7th). The truck loaded with Dixi toilets overturned into the ditch on Sotzbacher Kirchstrasse and caused material damage of around 90,000 euros, according to the police.

According to current findings, the 57-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle around 2:40 p.m. According to initial investigations, the man was reversing on a sloping dirt road when he apparently backed up too far. The truck then tipped over on its left side and landed in the ditch.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries in the accident. He then went to a hospital for medical treatment.
The rescue and cleaning work continued for several hours, during which there were occasional traffic disruptions.
