Esther Schweins (56) immediately found her way into the hearts of Massimo Sinato “Let’s Dance”-Fans danced. But then she was slowed down by the consequences of a double broken rib and had to leave the show. Now she speaks exclusively to RTL.de about her “dance heartache” and has a great message!

That sparkle is back immediately. As soon as Esther Schweins talks about “Let's Dance”, it's not about pain. It's about music, about longing, about this one love for the dance floor. “I am very sad,” she said in an interview with RTL.de. Her own word for it: “dance-lovesickness”.

Schweins, who has since appeared in front of the camera again for the ZDF series “The Law Firm,” impressively explains: “When I sleep, I actually still dream about dancing.” She had barely arrived with Massimo Sinató when she already had the “Let's Dance” fans at her side. Now she's watching from the outside. But inside? Then she continues dancing. For them, what the celebrities and professionals put on the floor “makes you go crazy with happiness”.

Just as great: Esther doesn’t need distance. She is watching the ninth “Let’s Dance” show with her “Let’s Dance” group in Mallorca. The fact that Esther is no longer in the competition has also triggered something new. She was able to take on her role as ambassador for the day of honor for the Federal President. On this day, voluntary commitment to our society is celebrated. She wants to get started on May 23rd in Mannheim at the Josef Bauer House. The motto is: “Dance for what remains – when words go, the dance remains.”

“In our project, people with and without dementia meet together in dance. Where language reaches its limits, movement opens up a new space – for closeness, memory and joy of life. Step by step, moments of real connection emerge. It illuminates what defines us. Dance achieves what words sometimes can no longer do and gives moments that last.
