As Bild reports, the 48-year-old developed such a severe fever after the procedure that he had to go to the hospital. According to Hilbert, his blood values were very bad there. According to his own statement, he was even “on the verge of sepsis”.

The only thing that is clear so far is the timing: Jens Hilbert had a hair transplant, traveled back to Germany, developed a high fever and had to be treated. However, it is still completely unclear what exactly caused the bad blood values and whether there is a connection to the hair transplant.
The former “Celebrity Big Brother” winner himself describes that he could no longer get the fever and pain under control at home. Painkillers wouldn't have helped. He therefore spent the past weekend in a clinic in Darmstadt. He was released again last Monday, April 27th.
