Face to face with the alleged murderer of her son!
On Tuesday morning (April 28th), Dorina L. experienced probably the worst thing that could ever happen to a parent. In front of the Rostock regional court she meets the woman who is said to have brutally murdered her son Fabian (†8). During the trial, the grieving mother's anger rises.
“I noticed that anger was building up inside me”
“I noticed that anger was welling up inside me.” This is what Dorina L. said in an interview after the start of the trial. “I just wanted to look at her the whole time. She couldn't even look at my face.” By this she means Gina H., Fabian's mother's ex, who is under strong suspicion.

Dorina L. does not shy away from confronting the alleged perpetrator on this difficult day for her. When Gina H. is led into the courtroom with a red file in front of her face and shackles, Fabian's mother looks directly at her.
Dorina about this moment: “She immediately looked down. And she looked up once, saw me and immediately looked down. And during the reading she also looked down and, as it looked to me, didn't even listen in between. I think what she did there, how she behaved, was exorbitant.”

The sensational process, which the whole of Germany is looking forward to, began on Tuesday morning – in an XXL hall and with a police cordon. The public prosecutor's office also names a possible motive for the first time: Accordingly, Gina H. wanted to end the dispute with Fabian's father and hoped to be able to continue the relationship with him. So did the little boy from Güstrow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) have to die because of this? The court must now clarify this.
Dorina L. finds all of this difficult: “I tried to stay strong and tears came to my eyes. But I will do it, for Fabi.” For the mother, hearing the indictment with all the horrific details is almost unbearable as it throws up so many images. Nevertheless, she wants to try to attend all court appointments.

The trial against Gina H. (30) begins under high security precautions and with great public interest around six and a half months after the violent death of the eight-year-old. The public prosecutor's office accuses her of murder out of treachery and base motives.
Fabian disappeared on October 10, 2025 and was found dead four days later at a pond near Klein Upahl. Gina H. is said to have stabbed the boy at least six times with a knife. Two stab wounds are said to have hit him directly in the heart. She is then said to have poured barbecue lighter on the child's body and set it on fire.
The defendant, who has been in custody since November 7th, has not yet commented on the allegations. A total of 17 days of negotiations are scheduled until July 2nd.
