A successful start for the first health fair, organized by the Fuldaer Zeitung, in the enamel factory in Fulda: Many visitors took the opportunity to find out about health, prevention and well-being – and did so very consciously.
Fulda – Under the motto “Touch. Try out. Find out. Participate.” Twelve exhibitors from the region will present themselves in the Fulda enamelling factory. The concept: Make health tangible and reduce inhibitions. Instead of pure information stands, many providers rely on participatory activities and personal discussions – an approach that is visibly well received on the first day of the trade fair.

The stand of the Fulda Clinic was particularly in demand. There, visitors could become active themselves and try out life-saving measures. “Check, call, press – these are the three most important steps,” explained emergency doctor Ann-Kathrin Müller.
Health fair in Fulda starts with great interest
The aim is to allay the fear of doing something wrong in an emergency, especially for laypeople. “You can’t do anything wrong – what’s important is that you act at all.” The offer was well received, and many visitors – including younger ones – tried out cardiac massage or obtained specific information.
There was also a lot of activity at other stands. Hearing tests, advice on modern hearing systems and discussions about individual health care were already intensively used on Friday morning. The exhibitors were correspondingly satisfied with the start of the trade fair, which runs until Saturday.
Yoga teacher Jürgen Kirchner was surprised by the crowds. “Bigger than I expected,” he said. Many visitors addressed specific complaints and sought advice about therapeutic yoga options. Personal exchange is clearly in the foreground.
Center manager Arne Schieck also drew a positive initial conclusion at the start. Numerous people were already there in the morning. “Many people came here specifically,” said Schieck. In addition to advice and information, the trade fair focuses on low-threshold offers for all age groups. While adults find out more and try things out, there are hands-on activities for children. This creates a relaxed atmosphere in which visitors can deal with health topics without time pressure.

The health fair also sees itself as a platform for regional networking. The spectrum ranges from medical advice to care aids and mobility solutions to fitness, nutrition and holistic approaches. With its open design, the enamelling factory offers the right framework for this, emphasizes center manager Schieck.
Looking at the number of visitors, Schieck is optimistic: Due to the central location in the enamelling factory with more than 10,000 visitors a day during regular operations, he also expects a high number of visitors to the health fair overall. The strong start suggests that the trade fair could establish itself as a well-attended event over both days. The fair runs until Saturday, April 25th and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry is free.
