Now Willi wants to show everyone!
The sixth show of this year's “Let's Dance” season will take place on Friday evening (April 17th/from 8:15 p.m. live on RTL and RTL+). And in the big “Michael Jackson Special” Willi Banner (31) and Patricija Ionel are under special observation. Last week, the dancing couple only received 15 points from the jury, and then there was harsh criticism from Joachim Llambi (61) on Instagram. Now, in an interview with RTL.de, the influencer reveals who is supporting him during this time.

“Let’s Dance” star Willi Banner: “I have a very, very strong dance”

It was the “hardest week” for him so far, Willi blurts out at the beginning of the conversation. In the sixth show, two dances await the ex-cycling professional. With Patricija he wants to convince the jury and fans with a rumba to the song “Liberian Girl”. There are also the jury’s group dances. “I have a very, very strong dance – for me it's the most challenging one so far because it has a lot of flowing and introspective movements that don't stop so abruptly. There are just a lot of details. That's really taken a toll on me this week,” he admits.

It makes him all the more happy when the Cottbus native opens his cell phone and sees the “positive comments” from his fans and followers. At the same time, he appreciates the few moments of peace he has at the moment and has a very important companion for him.

Willi continued: “Due to all the training, I don't have much time for friends and family at the moment. I dedicate the time I do have to my dog Chopper.” The sweet Rottweiler traveled to Cologne with Willi. “Production was so kind and even gave me an Airbnb with a garden so he could be outside while I worked out.” He still manages to squeeze in several walks with Chopper between training sessions. “At night he lies in bed with me. I'm all alone in Cologne and my dog is my support.

Willi Banner gives an insight into his inner life

A peace that he enjoys. Especially after this hard week, which was difficult for him not only because of the hard training.

Background: After Willi had already received harsh criticism on Joachim Llambi's show, the juror took it up a notch on Instagram at the beginning of the week: “While other couples make big development steps, here everything happens at a snail's pace!” Words that Willi has seen and that leave him “without a trace”. “We were talking to each other last week after the show and he said to me: 'Next week it should be a male dance, and then I really want to see something from you.'” At the same time, he reveals that Llambi also gave him encouraging and nice words. “I have nothing against Joachim Llambi,” he clarifies.

Instead, Willi wants to show everyone on the dance floor on Friday evening!

“Let's Dance” runs every Friday at 8:15 p.m. on RTL and in Live stream on RTL+. Missed the episode? No problem! Past episodes of the popular dance show are available to watch at any time on RTL+. And here you can also immerse yourself in past seasons.
