Hessian authorities will increase speed controls nationwide on Wednesday, April 15th. Here you will find an overview of all the measuring points that the police have announced for East Hesse.
Region – Wiesbaden – On Wednesday (April 15th) Hesse is once again taking part in the Europe-wide speed marathon. On this day of action, the police in Oshessen are also intensifying their speed controls to draw attention to the risks of excessive speed and to strengthen road safety.

In order to draw attention to the dangers of speeding, the police are publishing in advance all the measuring points that will be set up as part of the speed marathon between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Throughout Hesse, more than 570 police officers and municipal employees will check the speeds driven at more than 230 measuring points, as the Hesse Ministry of the Interior reports. The aim of the campaign is to sensitize road users to the importance of appropriate speed and thus contribute to reducing traffic accidents.

At the same time, the police point out that – like on any other day – additional unannounced speed checks or last-minute changes are possible. On the day of the action, traffic offenders should not only receive a fine afterwards, but should also be stopped, if possible, directly on site, confronted with the speeding violation and informed about the dangers associated with it.
