At around 3 a.m. the burglars gained access to a new building in Fritz-Schubert-Ring (house numbers 20). There they broke open the door to an almost completed apartment and got to work: They cut all the electrical cables, removed sockets and switches and removed the copper cables and power lines that had already been installed. The loot was worth around 4,000 euros.
After the work was done, the perpetrators apparently turned on the taps – their drains were not yet connected. The apartment was flooded, the water penetrated into the apartment below and caused further damage.
