Handmade design, regional start-ups and a freshly restored monastery garden: a spring monastery market on the Frauenberg at the end of April invites you to browse and enjoy.
Fulda – The market will take place on Saturday, April 25th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Frauenberg. As the organizer Antonius reports, they present themselves Selected providers twice a year in the middle of the idyllic monastery garden – this time with a special focus on the theme of spring.
Monastery market on Frauenberg: regional treasures and young design
At around two dozen stands there are self-made wooden, ceramic and textile products from the antonius GestaltenWerk and the antonius tailoring shop, garden herbs and vegetable plants from the antonius gardening shop as well as baked goods and bread from the antonius bakery. The culinary offering is complemented by organic specialties from Antonius and Frauenberg, including coffee, pastries, grilled food and various drinks, according to the announcement.
The market is also characterized by numerous regional handmade labels, which are primarily intended to appeal to a younger audience. According to Antonius, there are, among others, Princess von der Perle (jewelry), Detailverliebt (decoration), fleurdefulda (regional art), pinebloom (jewelry), elli.entzueckt (decoration), JulTies (jewelry), Platzer Kuppenseifen (soaps), freiafarbenfroh (watercolor and hand lettering) and isa_Sews (baby clothes).
Musicians from the “Music and Dance” association provide musical accents several times a day. Another highlight of the event day is the ceremonial opening of the newly restored arcade in the monastery garden at midday, the revival of which was financially supported by the “Friends of the Frauenberg” association.
To make your journey easier, a shuttle service will be set up again. Between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., two buses run every hour on the hour from Bonifatiusplatz and from the Weimarer Straße car park to Frauenberg. From Frauenberg you go back to the parking lot every half hour until 4 p.m. As the organizers emphasize, the monastery market is canceled in the event of heavy rain, thunderstorms or storms.
