A diversion is being set up due to a new bridge being built over the Moosbach in the Freiensteinau district of Ober-Moos.
Freiensteinau – The bridge is a structure from 1956. The last inspections revealed significant damage to the structure, Hessen Mobil reports. In addition, the bridge no longer meets today's traffic requirements. Because renovation and reinforcement would not last long and would be uneconomical, there is a new replacement building for the Moosbach Bridge.
New bridge construction causes road closure near Freiensteinau
Construction work begins next Tuesday, April 14th. The work is scheduled to be completed in October. During this time, a diversion leads from the Gunzenauer Kreuz via Nieder-Moos to the B276 and from there via Grebenhain to the junction towards Bermuthshain or Ober-Moos. The rerouting in the opposite direction is carried out in the same way.

The state of Hesse is investing around 440,000 euros in the new construction of the Moosbach Bridge. When it is finished, around 400 meters of the road will be renovated.
Meanwhile, there will also be full closures and diversions around Freiensteinau-Gunzenau from March 16th. (Schlitzer Bote editorial team)
