Lutz van der Horst on his coming out
The main character Max experiences his coming out as bisexual in the story. According to Bunte, he noticed at an early age that van der Horst also “feels differently” about his own life and also processes this in “Confetti Blues”. “You feel it all the time, but you can’t classify it,” he tells the magazine. However, the comedian, known from the ZDF satirical show “heute-show”, never experienced a classic coming out himself.
