While the British royals celebrate in Windsor, the Duchess of Sussex provides insights into her family life in California. On Instagram, Meghan posts clips of Archie and Lilibet spending Easter.
Duchess Meghan once again gives an insight into the Sussexes' family life in California. On Easter Monday, Prince Harry's wife shared a series of video clips on Instagram in which their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, can be seen, among other things, hunting for eggs in the garden. The Duchess of Sussex simply wrote: “Happy Easter!”
In the clips, Meghan first feeds the chickens fresh lettuce and collects the eggs, before three clips of her children follow. In it, Archie and Lilibet run with their Easter baskets through the spacious garden, including its own stream, to collect the presents as quickly as possible.
The princess is barefoot, wearing a pink floral dress and a pair of pink bunny ears on her head. She can later be seen with a large cuddly bunny plush toy under her arm and accompanied by the family dog. Another clip shows the two siblings painting Easter eggs with colorful felt-tip pens, for which Archie used technical support in the form of a kind of rotating device with a dinosaur look.
Prince Harry himself did not appear in any of the short videos, but could be heard in the background cheering and cheering on the fight for the Easter eggs. As always, the faces of the children, who, unlike himself, are not supposed to grow up in public, were not visible in the photos. The family has lived in Montecito since retiring from the British royal family in 2020. In the last few months, Meghan has repeatedly shared private insights, including most recently a video of her husband skiing with Archie.
While the Sussexes painted Easter eggs in the California sun, on the other side of the Atlantic, the rest of the British family traditionally gathered in Windsor. Harry's brother Prince William and Princess Kate appeared together with their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – for the first time since 2023 at the Easter service in St. George's Chapel. King Charles III was also there. with his wife Camilla and other members of the royal family. In recent years, the heir to the throne had skipped public Easter celebrations after Kate announced that she had cancer.
Of course, Charles' brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson as well as their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were absent from Windsor as a result of their involvement in the affair surrounding the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
