Fiona Erdmann and her children return
Model and influencer Fiona Erdmann (37) returns to her adopted home of Dubai with her three children. Although the Iran war is still raging, she came to this decision for an understandable reason, as she revealed to “Bild”: “My children need their father. And I need my partner. After everything that has happened, we just long to be together again – in our home, in our everyday lives.”

The background: Together with her partner Mohamad, who comes from Lebanon, and their three children, Erdmann fled Dubai and to the capital of neighboring Oman at the beginning of the month. From there they all actually wanted to fly on to Zanzibar in Africa. But “at the airline counter we suddenly received information that there were new, stricter regulations and that Lebanese citizens were no longer allowed to enter the country.” Erdmann then flew on alone at the behest of her partner while he wanted to travel there. However, because he was not issued a visa after days, he finally returned to Dubai “because waiting in Oman no longer made sense”. The family had been separated for weeks now.

Fiona Erdmann described impacts
“The night before last was an absolutely exceptional situation,” explains the jungle camp participant from 2013, when the first hostilities reached Dubai. “The house shook, we heard loud bangs – a moment that I had only seen on television. And suddenly it was reality.” The family hid in the storage room and had a sleepless night. “That feeling of flinching at every noise. It just wasn't an acceptable situation for the children. I didn't want them to be afraid. They can't assess the situation like we can. They don't know what's behind the bang.”

That's why the family finally decided to leave their adopted home for the time being. “Yesterday morning I packed our things and we decided to drive towards Oman first. Five hours at the border, fearing, hoping, waiting.” A little later they arrived in the capital Muscat safely, although very tired. “The kids are calm, feel comfortable and think we're on a staycation. We're with our friends. And that's what counts.” She was happy that her children “noticed as little as possible” what was currently happening.
