
A 59-year-old woman was injured with a knife by a 36-year-old in Schlüchtern on Saturday. The police are investigating suspected attempted murder.
Schlüchtern – The woman and the man – according to the police they are related – got into an argument with each other on Saturday around 11 a.m. in the parking lot of the Main-Kinzig Clinics in Schlüchtern. The 36-year-old is then said to have injured the older woman with a knife.

Police officers rushed to the scene and temporarily arrested the man at the scene. The injured person was immediately taken to the hospital. The police and public prosecutor's office did not say in their statement how seriously the 59-year-old was injured. However, the authorities are investigating suspicions of attempted murder.
The investigation into the background to the crime is ongoing, and the 36-year-old is scheduled to appear before a judge on Sunday. Witnesses who can provide information about what happened are asked to contact the criminal police in Hanau on (06181) 100-123.
Meanwhile, the police in Hanau are also investigating a 17-year-old who is said to have injured a peer with an airsoft gun.
