Comedians can dance too!
In the third “Let's Dance” show, comedian Simon Gosejohann says: danced it out. He and his dance partner Ekaterina have to leave the dance floor and end up in 12th place in this year's season. Admittedly, it was definitely entertaining with the dancing couple. Simon is not the only comedian who took part in the dance show. One person even won the trophy in the past and became a “Dancing Star”.
A wide variety of celebrities dance on “Let's Dance” every year. From singers to sports professionals to actors. They all want to win the hearts of the audience and take home the title “Dancing Star”. Comedians have also been represented almost every year so far, sometimes more, sometimes less successfully. Land like this Simon Gosejohann and Ekaterina Leonova this year in third-to-last place. But is it true that the funny dancing couples usually have to leave the dance floor first? Not really.
For example, let's look back at the second season, in which Guildo Horn gives everything with Motsi Mabuse, who was still a professional dancer at the time, and thus dances his way to 6th place. “The Three Three” star Markus Majowski and Anastassyja Krawtschneko secured seventh place in the same season and are therefore only just behind.
A few years later can Enissa Amani In season eight and Faisal Kawusi in season ten, the success even increased, dancing until the last shows and with their dance partner Christian Polanc and Oana Nechiti took 4th and 5th place respectively.

In 2015, Enissa Amani and Christian Polanc danced their way to show eleven.
Joachim Llambi: “Go up and get the 30 points”
Admittedly, there were also comedians who were less successful. In the sixth season, for example, Tetje Mierendorf and Isabel Edvardsson try to make the dance floor glow. In vain, because after the second show the dream of becoming a “Dancing Star” was over. This ranking also includes Özcan Cosar in season twelve and Abdelkarim in 2023, who also occupy the penultimate place.

In the eleventh season, however, a comedian manages to win everyone's hearts. For the first time this year, an actor and comedian, Ingolf Lück, won the title “Dancing Star” and thus gave himself and his dance partner Ekaterina first place in the show. In the first show of “Let's Dance” in 2018, the couple immediately impressed the jury and audience with a Viennese waltz and secured 25 points right from the start.

In the grand final they finally score 89 out of a total of 90 points. At that point at the latest, the victory seemed to be in the clear. “Go up and get the 30 points,” Joachim Llambi even joked at the time. But that's not all, because with his victory, Ingolf Lück sets a record as the oldest winner of the format in the world. The then 60-year-old is still part of “Let's Dance” history today – as the most successful comedian. Here in the video you can watch his final freestyle as Shrek again.
