It couldn't get any worse, I thought to myself after my unsuccessful attempt at cleaning. So I went to the drugstore, skipped all the expensive cleaners and stocked up on baking soda and citric acid. Back home, I made one last attempt to get my toilet seat white again.
I put a few squirts of citric acid and some baking soda powder on a conventional cleaning cloth and rubbed it over the affected areas.
I couldn't believe my eyes, but after a few times of scrubbing back and forth, the yellow discoloration was actually gone! The home remedy combination of baking soda and citric acid actually made my yellowed toilet seat white again.
